Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It is written to describe how the site actually works, not to cover practices we do not have.

Last updated:

01Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is SODEXO PECHE, Tevragh Zeina, Nouakchott, Mauritania, trade register analytical no. 117 227.

For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, contact us at the email address published on our Contact page.

02We do not track you

This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing is stored in your browser. Fonts are served from our own server, so simply reading these pages sends no data to any third party.

Because we set no cookies, no cookie banner is required and no consent is requested.

03What we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to send us an enquiry. The quotation form asks for:

  • Full name (required)
  • Email address (required)
  • Your message (required)
  • Company name, phone, country — optional
  • Product, quantity and product form requested — optional

04Server logs

Like any web server, our hosting provider records technical information about requests, which may include your IP address, the time of the request and your browser type. These logs exist for security and to keep the service running. They are kept for a short period by the hosting provider and are not used to build any profile of you.

05Why we process it, and on what basis

We use the details you send solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and, where a business relationship follows, to manage it. Under the GDPR, our legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to commercial enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell, rent or trade your data, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

06If you contact us on WhatsApp

Our forms offer a button that opens WhatsApp with your enquiry prepared as a message. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself from within WhatsApp. If you use it, your message is transmitted through WhatsApp and processed by Meta under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, use the form or email us instead.

07Who else sees your data

Your enquiry is read by our export team. It is also handled by the service providers that operate our website and email — our hosting provider and our email provider — who process it on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.

We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.

08International transfers

We operate from Mauritania and correspond with buyers worldwide, so your data may be accessed from outside your country. Where data is transferred out of the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

09How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for [RETENTION PERIOD — PROPOSED: 3 YEARS] from our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. Where an enquiry leads to a contract, the related records are kept for as long as commercial and tax law requires.

10Your rights

Subject to applicable law, and in particular the GDPR where it applies to you, you may:

  • Ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask for your data to be deleted
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

11Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to enquiries is limited to staff who need it. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

12Children

This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

13Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
